[Love those JTDs]

Hi,

We're a 2 JTD family, My wife has a 52 plate punto and I've got a Y plate Brava.

The punto came with a blaupunkt cd radio head unit and has 4 (possibly 6) speakers in the car itself and a 100W woofer in the boot. All factory fitted I think.

My brava came with the standard tape radio head unit and some fairly feeble speakers.

I've just bought a Sony T69 changer off ebay (for the opening bid, I was the only bidder!) and I would like to upgrade my speakers a bit so I can actually hear them!.

What should I be looking for?

I'm on a budget and not really into the idea of a huge bass tube in the boot or anything but any suggestions about size and types of cones to get would be appreciated.

well you'll need to make adaptors for the front speakers as they aren't a regular shape.


this is wot 13cm speakers & addaptors will look like.

As u can see i'd def reccommend Focal speakers... but they aren't cheap!!


if ur after bass but don't want a huge sub.. a Vibe CBR10 is a good little unit to go for... I have 1 of those also

Failing that - you can actually get 5 x 7 speakers to fit directly in the front. A set of components will sound a lot better though
