ICE advice needed!!!

does anyboody know if you can fit a set of 6 x 9's in the fromt doors of a brava (1995 1.6sx)? got a funny feeling with a fitting kit i've seen it done in a photo but im not 100%.

could somebody let me know! thanx

I think U could, but U would need spacers. And if the magnet goes too deep in the door U wont be able to pull the window the down all the way.
So general speaking, a lot of work. Go for some 16". I think JBL GTO go strait in, think Smee has them.

hi mate i av recently put 6x9's in the doors of my brava.................

they was a bastard to fit in:~

you have to cut the metal on the door a bit

put packers on the two bottom screws and smaller ones on the top so the speaker faces slightly upwards

the window shud...wel does slide down on mine.........extramely close and wudnt like to slam the door closed if the window was doen.prob smash.

be carefull of the hinge at the bottom of the door goin in to the back of the speaker...mine jsut miss's it.


its a very hard job but its work it tho. i have put two more in da parcel shelf n ad to split the cable from the stereo.

my speakers where infint 6x9s

easiest way is to take the door pannel off.....put the speaker face down as if where the old speaker went and you will see it does fit in the grill area n go off that.

you can fit them in i have had to do many 6x9 fit into the front doorsof a few diffrent cars but they aint easy to door as they are an od shape to fit into the door and some times if done wrong can stop things like your windows goings down fuls anc so on

but to be honest all the money and hassel there is no point your better off putting a good quality sets of 6.5" components in will seperate the sound and be alot clearer

but at end of day its all after the sound you want form your system
