lol unlucky. I think thats reasonable though because if they decide to reaplace the Blue&Me Unit the whole dash has to come out. Thats what they are doing on mine because the USB port came off :(.

yea its fair enough i spose, i cant believe fiat dont check these things before they export the cars. at least its gonna be fixed. a corsa tho...jesus lol

speaking of convictions i got 3 points from goin through a red light (apparently) but i havent told the insurance company yet, it happened a 2 months ago, i better ring them :bang:

Mine has been in since Wednesday with them trying to fix the headlight aim.

They still haven't fixed it, they don't know whats the matter.
Dashboard out now:mad:

It may be fixed by Tuesday. They just don't know.

I haven't even got a courtesy car off them.

I'll be so mad if it comes back with squeeking dash, or misaligned glovebox and the like.

Pain in the ar**

Got my car back today. There was a wire chafed behind the dash. soldered it back together.

However, I must say, the garage will never see me again. Terrible to deal with. Not once in 4 calls after they said "we'll ring you straight back" did they do it. I only found out it was fixed by calling in there on the off chance.

Plus, they obviously removed the front bumper trying to diagnose the light problem, and refitted it with one bolt loose, and loosing another, just leaving it like that. Amazing

My brakes still squeel too!! I can see they've smeered copper grease all over the back of the pads. It don't work!!

Bunch of cowboys.
Still, they are loosing the franchise in a few months. Good ridance I say!!

In case you were wondering. The garage is Lee and Turner, Bridgend.

Give them bit of credit, not easy finding a chaffed/broken wire on modern cars;)

However they should be aware of the brake squeal problem.....tell them to read their service news! oh & ask them to replace bolts they lost/didn't refit.

Fair enough to them finding the wire. but leaving bolts hanging out and missing aint right.

Ill sort the bolts myself. My main gripe is the attitude of the desk staff, including the service manager. No comunication skills at all. They had the car 5 days (3 working) and i didnt get one call from them. I couldnt do that to my customers and expect to keep them happy.

But you are right about the wire, i did tell them i appreciate the scale of the problem, could have been one of a dozen things. So top marks for that.

Just nil point on the rest of the effort.

The service at Lee and Turner is extremely bad. I would not recommend them to anyone. The staff are useless "cowboys" like you say. Last time I went there were only two Fiats in the showroom and the Fiat section was closed. Im not surprised to hear that they are loosing their franchise. Did they tell you that or did you hear from someone else?

Ask them to replace the bolts,I know you more than capable of doing it yourself but theres a lesson to be learnt here(check work before releasing it) its possible it was a genuine oversight(we have all done it)but yes it would of been nice to get a friendly phone call...
"Hi,just a quick call to let you know your car is ready for collection" makes all the difference doesn't it:)

It does indeed, Thats one area I can't fault my local dealer (Reg Vardy) They always ring you to let you know whats going on. They have had to replace my Blue&Me Control unit thats in the glove box and it the Blue&Me voice prompts now speak italian! im taking it in to day for them to look at hopefully an easy fix!.

Talking about bad garages do not use caladonia fiat in preston. They were completly incompitant when it came to them giving me a test drive they made me take 2 days off work and each time they went ohhh sorry we have not got it for you. They then did nto ring me for about 3 weeks finally saying come in today we will sort out the finance then you can go for a test drive, ridiculous just because i am 22.

Took my car back today regarding the bumper bolts.

They got the technician out to have a look. he said sorry, and took the car away.

I go away and come back 45 mins later.

get home later on, and take a good look. The missing bolt underneath has been replaced:) .
The gap between the bumper and bonnet edge looks rather large:confused:

Then i notice the bumper is located properly on the passenger side with a large black plastic tab, and on the drivers side, it's been pushed on the wrong side:bang:
see the photo!!!!???

the loose bolt is tightened up, but looks different from the others:confused:
they've fitted a normal hexagon nut underneath, totally different from the rectangle type nuts on the other 3. consequently, I cannot remove the offending bolt to relocate the plastice tab on the right side, as the nut keeps turning with the bolt

It's just as well i've left my Shogun at the dealers. today and yesterday it was like having my own personal courtesy car. it will be again tomorrow too!!

total muppets.

Surely they should know by now that I am the type of person who will not accept a bodge job. I am going to go all over the car every time i take it away from the place. yet the technician still insists on cutting corners.

I'm gonna play holy hell down there in the morning:devil:

Jesus what is wrong with these people, how can they miss a thing like that. dont they think to themselves how would i feel if this happened to my car? idiots.

Anyway i took my car to the Harlow garage to get the bluetooth fixed, and i took a pic of my mileage incase they start driving it around (i wouldn't put it past them) They gave me a rubbish black panda to drive with 2 stupid white lines goin down the middle, its soooo embarrassing lol

Funny, I had exactly the same problem. It was working fine for the first 3 months and then one day it just started fuzzing, making it difficult to hear either people on the phone, or the Bluetooth lady. I was determined not to have to bring it back to the dealer so tweaked a few settings and the fuzzing stopped. But now, when I switch sources from RADIO to CD, there is an almighty difference in the volume. Annoyingly, I have to remember to quickly turn the volume down when switching from RADIO to CD to avoid deafining myself or smashing the windows!! Also whenever I skip between CD tracks, there's a really irritating interference noise that only sounds for a second or 2 before the music starts to play. One problem solved, and a whole new one to worry about. Damn it!
