Right, removed the tank from the Donor 750L, had half a tank of fuel lets, so me thinks, ohhhhhhh, lets syphon it into the Sisley.

So I stick the pipe into the filler neck, then clonk. The flipping jubiliee clip from the small fuel feed pipe has fallen into the filler neck on the Sisley :bang:

Why I didn't remove it before I don't know.

So it's now sitting on the anti syphone mesh in the filler neck. Question is should I remove it? Is it going to rust away and cause problems, or will it just sit there until the end of the earth

Also, if I try and remove it, will dropping a manget on a string in get it out, and do magnets spark causing explosions  :bang:

FFS.

Jon.

P.s, I've filled up with it there once and it caused no problems then.

idiot of the year no, we all make mistakes. magnet good idea, no spark if you put a thin plastic bag round it. finally gave in to temptation and bought a VW golf cs 1991. 350 euros. sisley playing up still at high speeds (slipping out of 4th, uneven tyre wear even though its all new steering rods and arms etc and its been tracked many times at 35 notes a go). its great on dirt roads in low gears. gonna keep it for that until the time comes when i can afford to do it properly gearboxwise and stuff.
if only a panda was as reliable as a volkswagen....
