i am a nubie and feel the need for some speed!

i am a nubie to the world of fiats but have recently purchased a new 1.9 gps orange. my ol man had a stilo abarth and apart from the appalling gear changes, i loved it so i indulged in a fiat. i need help with tuning ideas! dont have a lot of money and wonder what would be the least detrimental to a car with 3 years warranty on it. any help from experience would be great.
