could someone please help me work my blue and me? I can connect my phone fine and answer and end calls, I know there are many more functions than this though, such as message reading and voice dial, anyone know how to set these up and work them?

I know message reader doesn't work with all phones (like mine for instance).

This might help...

Message reading only works with a few specific 'phones; you should be able to use voice dialing if you can import your 'phones contact list to the car.

In twelve months I've made two calls from the car via Blue&Me and received four so I'm no expert, but I found voice dialling contacts in the phonebook worked quite well, just press the 'Windows' button and say "Call (whatever)" but you need to remember exactly how the names are entered and if it's something like "John Smith" needs to be referred to as "Smith John", but that may be just my phone (Sony Xperia E). Entering a number by voice worked for me but involved so many misinterpretations that it would be quicker to stop the car and dial directly from the phone.

On the whole it works better than I expected, the incoming quality is good and people seem to hear me OK so I'm reasonably happy with it.

I have answered calls and soaked numbers by going into my 'last contacted' through the steering wheel, using he phone book through the steering wheel was quite difficult and voice dialling just didn't work, it didn't even seem to register it, it just kept waffling on about menu or something?

I have an iPhone 5c so I was thinking surely it should work for that since its a pretty common phone

I think because it's a Microsoft system they have locked that feature to mainly windows phones

Not really, its more the phone manufactures often rather than the fact it windows, my Toyota system is similar in the phones it will and won't work with, and thankfully that's not a Windows based system.

Perhaps it's not hearing you clearly, I know it has trouble with my partner's accented English too. I understand the microphone is above the windscreen near the courtesy light (haven't confirmed that though) so I try to speak clearly and loudly in that direction.

Also, I have a 500C and it's certainly no good trying to use it while in motion with the roof open.

Do other functions work, such as starting and stopping USB playback? You could experiment by trying those commands while stationary with the engine off, then on, and then in motion to see what works for you.

it probably doesn't understand my Northern Irish accent lol yea I can change songs and play and pause and change the volume fine, I've tried the voice commands stationary and whilst driving and neither work, it does even seem to recognise it cause when I press the button and say 'call such and such' as it is saved in my contacts it keeps talking about settings or menu or something?

If it doesn't receive a command it understands it prompts you by saying something like "please say settings, help etc" though why it should understand your playback commands and not phone commands I honestly don't know.

Here's a list of compatible phones which appears up to date - I notice the 5C isn't listed but the 5 is;

Not opened the link myself, but can confirm iPhone 6 works ok for making / receiving calls.

Sisters and mine link to her 500 ok :)

Actually maybe that's it; the 5C may not be compatible. That wouldn't stop it recognizing USB playback commands naturally. I think the 5C is fairly common, maybe someone else has experience.

yea that's what I was thinking because everything else works fine but then again it is such a common phone you would think it would be compatible

I also have a 500c and have no probs with b+m roof up or down.
