Technical How to remove the Side mirror

Shoo guys

as per the heading, how does one remove the side mirror.
The mirror needs to be replaced as it has cracked.

Stick a new mirror over the old one?

Is it a Mk1 or a Mk2 Uno?

ALSO which side?

I'm asking as I some spares.....have both complete door mirrors for a Mk2 and the a complete passenger side door mirror for a Mk1..

BUT have to say if the case of the mirror is OK cheapest easiest route is to just get a new sticky on mirror from the likes of HeLLFrauds

Replacing the side mirrors of the UNO is quite easy.
Pull of the rubber cover of the mirror adjuster pin inside.
There´s a metal ring with two notches .
I use pliers with long tips to turn the ring.
When the ring is loose you can remove the mirror from the outside.
