Hi there. I am still nowhere near finishing the install but i need to start thinking about the rest of the car.
I dont really plan to do a great deal to the outside i think it looks alright as it is. I will add a better spoiler, lower it and possibly make the alloys more shiny somehow.
Right on with my question. I want to add quite a large amount of power to the 1.6 engine so am after after some ideas and info in preperation for when i am ready to do it. Money is always going to be an issue but im hoping that i may be able to do a deal of some kind  but i dont want to skimp.
I already have a suitable exhaust from the Flexipipe back - mid silencer, remap and Indution kit.
I am thinking along the lines of a port, polish, bore, cams, pistons etc. I wouldnt even rule a turbo out the question if the right situation came along.

Course it is you just need to make the provisions to make it safe. As i hinted money isnt in question here. I have a few ideas on how to get more $ :D

....or more pointedly just buy another car (will be cheaper)

Oh yeah why didnt i think of that :chin: I have the car that i have now ive spent a wee bit on the aethetics and performance of the car. Not to mention the miles of wiring and buy the time i get that far £££ on deadening, custom building etc. So too sum it up i like the car i have now and it is worth sweet FA. The money that i am set to loose could pay for a turbo.
Currently
£200 Tints
£170 Induction Kit
£350 Zorst
£50 Strut brace
£200 Remap
£300 +/- Wiring
£100 Custom Built 8" Touch screen
Soon to come
£500 deadening
£??? custom doors
Etc Etc
I will always want to tune up any car that i buy because i want to do it as a hobby and interest not so i can go 300000 mph and kill myself.
Not to mention the rest of the effort and money in the ICE.

in that case speak to the Greeks and in the meantime source a dozen or so punto GT gearboxes as you need them with the turbo on the 1.6, and a dozen because they will keep on breaking.

if you really want to be mr smarty pants, drop a 2.0 20v turbo from a coupe or the 2.4 20v JTD in there ;)

£300 wiring and £500 deadening??!! WTF are you using??!!

I go with Argo here ..there isnt a better substitute for HP and a bigger engine ..

I did say +/- for the wiring and its not all in there quite yet but, obviously that includes all of the USB's ect for the computer, Distribution blocks and as soon as i finish on here i am going to buy a decent voltage meter.

Well i have made my mind up and it is way too much effort/£ to change cars so as awkward as it is i want to the best that i can.
So does anybody know how to bore the engine that would be a start perhaps an after market Injector rail. I like the look of the ones that sit proud of the motor. I know the yanks are mad for them i just thought that my helpful friends on here would show me a couple of things. :)

If you have really made up your mind to go down this route then I would for a start log into the guy croft forum..he was in F1 and knows what he is talking about and can do all the head work re-boring you will need for the modifications..be prepared to scrap the exhaust system you have already had made tho cos as guy will no doubt tell you it wont hack it and will need a decent one made up along with a sports cat and manifold to get the best from the future mods..he is also an agent for CB cams so he can do them in house for you deliver all the work to your schedule and give you costings for all the work without messing you around..good luck ..(y)

Nice one ill have a chat over there. The Exhaust is race derived so should be able to do the job i hope. I just has a flashy dual exit, it was all hand built.

Sell the car and spend all that money on something that's already got the power - test drove a spankingly gorgeous 3.2 V6 Alfa GT this morning :worship:

I am considering geting a 156 GTA as a daily driver some time in the future but i need to see how things go in the financial world of the Volx. ATM im not doing too bad i must be the only person i know that actually got a pay rise this year.
Back on topic his is my project car and i just want to have a little fun with it. TBH the power gains dont bother me one bit (although it would be nice to make it nip a bit) I am only doing it out of interest, this time next year i doubt that i will be able to take it over 80MPH anyway. Im not sure weather i will do it this time round but i plan to have a couple of large alternators which will make the drive (n) but for now im just going to chuck a 200amp one in to tide me over.
The car at the rear has dropped about 35mm by the looks of it and that is without any modification to the suspension.
At the end of the day she is a play thing/ money pit whatever you want to call it but us single people need some sort of substitute lol.

How much money do you really have

And insurance??

Sweet FA atm but only because im lazy. If i were to pull my finger out i could take an extra £500 Pm after tax each month for working an extra 8 hours a week

Edit: By then i will be 25 so insurance should be ok.

Ever thought of buying another type of fiat they are called Ferrari's the 450 would fit the bill for what your looking for :D
