Re: Can someone point me in the Right Direction

hi mate try the FAQS under stilo there is some info on cd,insulation that might help you!

Re: Can someone point me in the Right Direction

depending on the parrot kit you go for there shud b a sounds on top ISO lead that comes with it
as far as I'm aware the connect nav till uses the ISO blocks for sound and power but has a few extras coming out of it
Just connect the lead, can only fit one way, only problem is that It doesn't have and ignition feed so your two options are keep the handsfree on a permanent live r take an ignition feed from the cigarette lighter and that should do
a wiring schematics come with the kit anyway tho it ain't easy to understand LOL
as to removal I think its been covered before in either the guides or technical section
quick search will if hat up or ya

Re: Can someone point me in the Right Direction

You need the Connect Nav keys to avoid damaging anything, they screw into the unit. Can't guarantee any other method will work.

hands free

Im looking to get a parrot ck 3000 hands free kit for my 2002 stilo.. ive still got the standard radio fitted and was wondering if any one has fitted this unit and have they had any problems....
I can get it of the net for £50 and halfords want £80 fitted... only if you dont need an extra iso lead at £20 so could be double price getiing it pro fitted.
Do you need this extra iso lead for the stilo and does this parrot unit power from the wires going to the radio or do you have to run a power cable from battery...cheers

Installed one to GF's golf and all the leads just connected straight to the back/in between of her oem head unit and CD changer. No other wiring was required, it is simply just plug and use, took me about 20mins to install.

Not sure about the extra iso lead as everyplace I tried before buying the kit told me I would need the extra lead but when the kit came it wasn't required. Check this to see if it's actually required.

I've just got the normal CD/Radio and I wired mine back through the stereo so I can turn the knob on the radio to control how loud the phone is through the car speakers.
The ignition sensor wire on mine connects to the hazard warning light switch illumination wire as this is illuminated when the ignition is switched on so the hands free kit knows when to come on (This is how it said to do it in the manual from fiat).

Mine was a fiat option kit though which I got from ebay for £10.50!!!

I did have a parrot CK3000 on my punto which simply plugged in line with the stereo piggy backing on the iso connectors although I did have to switch the cables round for the power before it would work.

right well i fitted one of these to my stilo last week
also fitted a few to other stilos

ill keep it simple lol
  • no extra wire / harness required
  • slight hardwire required to source and get ignition feed
  • kit small so easy to place behind upper glovebox
  • microphone easy to route to top of A pillar
  • numerous locations for small control pad
  • will work with standard unit no problem by self muting
thats it, the only thing i will say is that ive fitted hundreds of hands free kits to lots of cars so i know what im at, 80 quid fitted isnt bad when you add small stupid things like splice, wire, removal tools etc plus least that way you know its done properly, you wont have the extra wire to pay for anyway. not a bad kit, nice and simple, keep my control box hid and put the entire system on a switch. good luck
