Hello everyone,

I would like to connect a wired FM modulator behind my radio, but to do so I have to connect its red cable to the power and the black to the ground. Please see picture.
I would like to ask what is the easiest way.

Thank you in advance.

Just fyi matey not everybody is on the forum 24/7

As for the fm modulator why you needing to install one?

However since it needs to br a switched feed to prevent flat batteries

Id buy a piggyback fuse and itd be good to go
Then plug it into the cigarette socket fuse
Drop the cig socket to 15amp and the 2nd socket can be then done at 5amps

Thanks very much for the answer.

Does that mean that I have to replace the current fuse of the cigarette with a piggyback fuse?
I found a piggyback fuse, but it's 20amp. Can it work anyway? Where is the second socket? Sorry I ask, but this is defintely not my domain...

PS: I am using the FM modulator because I want to listen to music from my phone, without having cables/adapters in sight

The piggy back fuse will still power the cig socket
But then gives u a feed out for you play with
Both fuses plug into the piggyback fuse holder

Thank you very much for your answer, I read it only now because I didn't get the notification that I received one.

So, just to clarify, I need to buy a Piggy Back of 15 amp and a fuse of 5 amp?

You'll need a piggy back fuse holder and the appropriate fuses

Your fm modulator should have a fuse already of about 1.25 - 2A so you'll need a 3-5A fuse In the piggy back to protect the circuit

You will also need an additional fuse to continue powering the cig lighter radio and interior light on the same circuit together, if the piggy back iscapable then you can use the current fuse, or you may find that it is rated at a lower current rating
