Technical How to access nearside loudspeaker terminals

Re 2002 Fiat Ducato
I have a suspect electrical connection to my nearside loudspeaker but access looks difficult.
Do I have to remove the large grey plastic trim which the loudspeaker sits behind?
Any issues I need to be aware of before I start?

I had to remove the RH door panel when repairing a mirror a few years ago. I do not remember that it was difficult. Perhaps the most important thing to take note of is not to damage the door waterproof membrane. If you have to cut the membrane, consider how you are going to repair it.

If your LH door is used frequently, the problem could be in the door connecting harness.

Sorry I should have been clearer. The loudspeaker is not door mounted. It s mounted in the lower left dashboard behind a plastic trim panel. I have attached an image.

Have a look at this post by @scott73. I think that he has removed the lower dash panel on a similar vehicle.

Its only 4 screws and very easy to take off.
