The "magnetic codifer", AKA the wheel bearing on modern (active) abs cars is effectively a multi-pole ring magnet with poles swapping from north to south over the circumference. Roughly how many times does this happen for one rotation? Are we talking significantly more or less than number of bumps on a normal phonic wheel for a passive system?
