How long to have your license returned?

Hi all. Got pulled over and given fine + 3 points.
Handed license in at police station to have the points put on it. I handed it in on the 8th may i think.
Rang whatever ticket office number they gave me over month ago and they said they were waiting on a statement from the officer that pulled me :S

Sick of not having my license now and not knowin when I'll get it back. They made sure the cheque was cleared within a week of it being sent off though.
Been 2 months now and not sure how much longer its going to take. Anyone able to shed any light on this?

DVLA have nout to do with it. It's all police ticket control apparently

Ring up and moan. Without a statement the fine and points ain't worth s**t I'm guessing he/she had lost the paperwork

Not sure, but when he pulled me over he had 3 addresses for me, due to my incompetence at letting dvla know when I move house.
So he seemed abit funny about it, thought he might have delayed it if he's inquiring about the addresses maybe.
My license was still in my exs address whereas my car is registered at my mums address but insured at mine My own fault really but wasn't sure if that's why it might be taking so long?

Still not had anything through from them nearly 3 months now.
Went to ring them this morning but not open weekends!
