well i got about 82 out of her then it jus stayed at that no higher is that good??
93 is the quoted top speed isnt it, i dunno - i'm still in 4th at that speed..

yeh but look at your bloody engine i want mine to look like that but it aint happening i dont know where to start!
It's dreadful. I guess you're being passed by a lot of white vans. Something is wrong. What's the mileage? Had a compression test done?
one time I reached 90 in mine, and it felt it had a bit more to go, but really, compared to any other modern car going that speed is quite scary and also strangely exciting in a cinq, it feels like its doing 200mph!!
I rarely venture over 70 in it really, its a waste of fuel otherwise, its a dear do these days even with an economical car like a cinq

about six weeks ago, had to do a 300+ mile round trip with 3 people and luggage in the car, and i got up to 85MPH on the motorway overtaking a lorry, could have probably done more, but i was only over taking. I am impressed with the go, although as a previous poster said, why bother, it just wastes fuel. I normally cruise at 60MPH on the motorway. I wonder how different a 1242 would feel though:yum:
i bet you get a lot of people cursing you then... it winds me up when people do 40 on a 60 road never mind on the motorway.
if its 70, then do 70...
imo
as for speed, its a cinq... they were never ment to go fast. although they are quite nippy

o my ive just got back from a drive on the good old motorway i topped the 80 i said i done previously and hit 100 no word of a lie i was shi**ing my pants im so impressed with it its unbelevable.!!!:slayer:

i get what your saying k4rl, but the M8 goes into only 2 lanes after a short time, and if i was doing 70 in the outside lane, everyone would be behind me, but if i do 60 on the inside lane i only have to pull out and into the outside lane to overtake the lorrys, and there is normally not many of them.
I remember once when i was traveling up to aberdeen(mix of motorway and dual carriage) i overtook this ford focus full of old people dawdling at 50! on the inside lane, i overtook them, and they started to follow me
they got quite close to the back of my car (5-6ft maybe) so i started to speed up and they followed me, still very close. after doing the following me thing for a while i overtook a lorry and returned to the inside lane, and the old people in the focus just sped off like a bat out of hell! you get some weird people on the motorways!

ive had my speedo off the clock hitting id say 135mph in my turbo, blew my head gasket though

120 on the clocks, 101 on the gps. That's with low profile tyres making the clock over read by an extra 5mph.
Mine goes 'H' MPH.
