Hello,
'canon' here from Dublin, Ireland. I'm a newbie to the 'Punto' scene in general, having only acquired my first this week. Was given a 1999 Fiat Punto 60SX free from a friend of mine, who's brother owned it. The camshaft snapped on it, they though the end of the world and I said 'Gimme Gimme'. Having investigated further, found it needed a new camshaft and there was some valve damage - so a new cam and head are needed (quoted €170 for parts). I know my way around an engine pretty well (mechanic for bus company), so will whip the head off and see where it takes me!
Will be looking for some useful hints, and offering my own experience and tricks. Really insightful forum
