how do you wire up a rev gauge to a tipo 1.4ie 1993 when there is no rev counter on the dials any one help me plz

managed to do it with my 1.4 (carb) it came with a few wires
permanent power for the backlight 'memory' was provided via the radio.
power to run it was wired off of the wire to the heater blower.
earth to the one used by the radio
to get the pulse for it to work i connected the wire to the LT circuit going to the distributor. there's two small wires here and only one of them is correct, i forget which one.
can't remember what the other wires were or if there even was anymore
