How do i fing out if a car is a good doner

Hi all,
I need parts for my Bravo. I have found a car that is the same model and engine but ,
How can I make sure that it a match for parts and they will fit mine.
Is there a way to find out from the V5 Engine number and V.I.N .
It's just that I don't want to buy it and find the parts will not fit mine.
Any help is most welcome

It depends what parts you need from it.
The Engine Series number matching will be a help for some things, but other parts may change from when in amodel year it was made etc.
Also don't think ECUs, BCMs etc. will just fit
