Do you need a special tool to remove coolant hose clips on an 06 Stilo and can the originals be re used? I can't see how you can undo them with either a screwdriver or a small ring spanner as would be the case with normal jubilee clips. Don't need to undo any at the moment but would like to know for when the time eventually arrives.

They can be leavered apart but afterward don't reuse them fit the jubilee clips instead I personaly dont trust reusing them 
They are single use clips that are very quickly applied at the factory. From my experience, the only way of doing it is to lever off the "bulge" with a flatblade screwdriver then get a new one on - go for a Stainless Steel one to keep it looking new .

are they the same type of clips on the rad hoses on the 52 plate , cos i was wondering how to get them off
Couldn't tell you myself as this is my first Fiat since 1968 but I did notice an 04 Punto also had the same type of clip. If there is no hex head with a screwdriver slot I suppose you could infer they are the same.
Which hoses are you talking about,got pic of clips?
Don't have a photo but I'm referring to the clips on the the main coolant hoses to and from the radiator.
yeh, those clips are a bugger, i had to remove them when i changes the front end on and radiator housing on my car... definately change them for the jubili clips if you do undo them... i would'nt trust them placed back on ! i had to cut mine off with some snips...
