Sammi, my electronics knowledge suggests:

Could be a damaged horn, considering it went off when using it, it sounds like this - something internal blew etc.

Could be a fuse as Gaz has said, although a blown fuse usually suggests something is damaged also.

Could be a connector to it has fallen off (there will probably be two wires to it, just check that both are on properly and have a good connection.

My Punto's original horn died when I was using it, a very short beep, more like 'b' and it was no more. Halfords or other similar places sell em, and you can find a few on ebay as well. Not to hard to replace, but I recomend a locking nut when you put the new one on. After my original one had blown, I tried to use its replacement only to press and get no sound, because it had fallen off...

same as me sammi, horn died but i smacked mine hard (fighting with g/f) and doesnt work no more no idea how to check though just leave it till mot needs doing :/

Well, mine just died spontaneously the other day.

Checked everything, all was well, but no horn. Bought a replacement horn, went to fit, checked it was still not working, and the bugger was. [:(!]

Fitted the replacement anyway because it sounds better!

I reckon water and age have things to do with why they die!

My old horn did the same, worked then didn't, it was just the connections, although I have a spare Uno for parts and swapped them, same horn, same model number, twice as loud! lol, other one had perfect contacts so was a lot better. I needed it to work for its MOT, which is coming up in a few weeks [:0][:0]

I pressed mine today when a Saxo driver pulled out of his drive backwards towards me coming down the road without looking, if i hadn't have honked i would have had my first crash - a guy reversing into me! lol. Idiot thought it was ok to reverse without turning around/checking mirrors....

PS. The fact he was a saxo driver is neither here nor there to me, although it might matter to you lot lol

finally got around to looking at my horn - well i couldnt get the bonnet up so i took it to the local garage in the village - the catch is well knackered so i need a new one - also they had a look at the horn too - both the horns are knackered - the contacts have coroded off both horns, so i must only have been using one horn - £4.20 for the catch on the slam panel and £20 odd quid each for the horns!

I believe that the only law is that you can't have more than two pitches to the sound...?
