As you can tell new to the Forum, picking up my W reg Seicento ( the basic model i think) tomorrow.
Whenever i buy a vehicle i google it til my eyes bleed and you have a wealth of information here that i can see coming in very handy.
I will be mainly using the car as a coat for when it rains as i prefer Motorcycling but have a bit of a thing for small cars, I used to own one of the Original Suzuki Alto,s.
I,d like to apologise now for all the stupid questions that i,m sure i,ll ask.......

hi matey

welcome to the forum (y) im sure you will love your little sei :slayer: (everyone who owns either a cinq or sei tends to love them dearly, well i do lol). i hope to chat with you soon

cheers
jay

Thanks for the warm welcomes! (y) Picked up the car last night and i,m surprised at how nippy it is, been to work and back in it today and i think its realy growing on me.
Its W reg with 50,000 on the clock but only the first two stamps in the service history so i will be doing an oil and filter change next week and i,ll have a look at the plugs and the air filtre while i,m at it.
The owners book says its got hydraulic tappits that never need adjusting - do i belive it?¿?
I,m north of Preston near the M55. I,m looking forward to chatting with you all as soon as i can find a decent Anorak....;)

It is true, however over time they do wear and get noisy, some do change them but in most cases a small service on them usually sorts out the noise issue which you may find occuring during the ownership

where abouts is 'north of preston' come on, i dont live far from preston, mum lives just south of lancaster, dad lives just off j33. live there for all of my 18years so know the area quite well

Had a quick rummage around under the bonnet yesterday, the oil on the dipstick is still a clear golden colour and the filtre looks very shiny - i think the Stealership may have given it quick spam up. I also opened up the airbox but ive a sneaky feeling i looked at the wrong side of the Filter!:bang: I,ll have another look in a bit and get aquainted with where everything is - not a lot of space, is there?¿? My previous car was an ,87 Uno and you could almost get in the engine bay to work on it.
North of Preston is North of Preston - i have been on T,internet too long to say where i live exactly but lets just say its the posh bit :p
From what ive seen so far i dont think i,ll have to do much with the car other than check levels *looks for fingers X,d emoticon* so i,ll just try for funny replys to all your posts...:D
