Bought a high clip-on bike rack from Halfords, and made it all the way from London to the Lake District no issues whatsoever, almost forgot I had bikes on board - and the high position means rear lights and registration plate completely visible. Hope the pic comes out.

Also learnt to use the cruise control and it's so very easy and makes a big difference! :D

Now am all set to take Freddie and the bikes for some trips along the rivers in the German wine region

Thinking of getting one of these too. But does the rack damage the paintwork, as looks like there are some sort of straps with clips attached?

I've had cruise control in my last two cars and they were controlled by buttons on the steering wheel, I've never had it with its own stalk before, but with most things once you know how, it's easy!

The bottom clips are the ones which might scratch the paintwork, they come with an adhesive patch that goes between the clip and boot, but in this heat it wasn't sticking well, so put some tape on there as added protection. I would say get Halfords to setup/fit the rack if you get one, it took us about 1.5hrs to assemble and fit, was a bit fiddly in places.

Thanks, which model fitted as there appears to be a few different ones?

I have an aftermarket cruise fitted to my Abarth as there wasn’t the option to have one. Makes such a difference on long journeys, and as it’s also a speed limiter it’s great around town too!
