Just joined up there. Got myself a 2003 Punto Sporting and its needing some new tyres. The ones on it just now are 185/55 R15 but is it possible to stick some 195/50 R15 on them cos theyre about £20 cheaper? What does everyone reccomend, im thinking about the goodyears just now.

195/50s would be ok and 195/45s would be ok too.

I had 195/45 toyos and they were excellent.

Not standard sporting ones, but alloys of identical width.

Id guess some 195/45s would be roughly the same price as 185/55s though at £50ish, whereas 195/50s would be £35-40ish.
