Hi to all and HELP!

Hi to everyone!

I've had a Cinquecento 899cc 1995 for year and a half and absolutely love it!!
Recently though its decided to start dying on me...need some advice as to what I should do next please guys.
Noticed a few days ago that a lot of oil was leaking and coming out of the exhaust and that the oil was mixing with the water...my boyfriend changed the rocker cover gasket which has stopped some of the leaking but now lots of white smoke is coming out the exhaust....im guessing my head gasket needs changing?!

Basically wanna know how expensive this is gonna be and whether its something that me or my boyfriend/dad can do at home and if it really is the head gasket??

Hi and welcome to the FF!

Sorry to read of your woes; hopefully someone down in the Cinque section can help. Head gaskets are something that can be changed at home, but you'll probably have to have the head skimmed by a machinist. Not the end of the world or indeed the Cinque, not just yet...
