Hi There New Cinquecento Owner

I have just purchased a 1995 Fiat Cinquecento with 47,000 genuine miles on the clock, documented with all past MOT's etc, original handbook good bodywork only one very minor ding on front wing. Engine runs very sweetly bit noisey when cold but soon quietens down, had a number of things to fix, leaky petrol smell, minor brake weep on rear cylinder, gets a little hot if left sitting in traffic but cured by putting heater on, petrol guage doesn't work, clock doesn't work and rear boot stays are shot, rear boot catch doesn't always shut. Sounds lots but I have bought all of the parts needed from ebay mainly from mad_fiats_r_us who are very reasonable and very quick at shipping. I only have the petrol tank to fit now which is on the list for next weekend. It is very refreshing to work on a car that is simple, no flashy electronic wizardry needed just old fashioned mechanical know how! I look forward to many happy miles of motoring.

Welcome! Sound like a little minter, I almost always get my parts from Mad-fiats-R-Us they're always top notch for service. good luck with the tank and again, welcome to the fiat forum :D

Just a heads up to any other new owners, when I went to change the petrol tank the Haynes manual showed 3 bolts to be removed - There are 5, the 2 extra ones are in the middle, one of which also holds a protective plate from the exhaust. Wasted 2 hours trying to figure this out!!
