hi newbie with radio question

i have a marea 1.8 elx weekend my radio works every time on fm for 10 to 20 mins after starting car then sound disapears all other station mw lw work after about 10 to 20 mins fm comes back on any idears :bang:

Firstly - welcome to ff , have you tried retuning/reprogramming the stations , checking the ariel connection on the roof , does it always happen or just in certain places-im just finkin there could be a pirate station around effecting you , i had the same thing with the sound fading on n off on my 2.0 20v marea weekend and i reprogrammed it , so far its been ok

i have read the instuction forward back wards and retuned all stations it does not happen on the mw or lw stations onlt on fm i start car turn on radio or have radio on ing after 10mins to 20 mins fm disapears mw or lw still working if i use cassette for say fifteen mins then return to radio it often comes back on then stays on till i switch car off if i stop for only a short time radio may stay on we i restart if stop for say hr or so will go back to old tricks also seem to have a niose on passger side wheel or are these cars suffering with a lot f road noise car drives beutiful compared to my last astra desiel
