Look nice in black mate , mines powder blue, your mpg wil depend on driving style, weight carried, weather, tyres , fill it to the brim and drive as normal until you reach 100miles then fill up again that's give you a good indicator of your mpg,if you scroll back through the threads on here theres some about the same thing or just click search and view all the assoc threads.

Hi and welcome I have one myself same colour only its an ELX and I think im right saying the SX is a bit quicker. If you can keep the revs at 2000 you should be able to get about 55mpg. I should have said the SX used to be quicker cause mines remapped to 171bhp and if I do what I suggest you do keep to 2000 I actually get the same mpg as I did before.

wow 171 bhp thats incredible well i'm chuffed with ours only moan is the main beam lights are not up to what my 406 was they deffo are dimmer it needs better bulbs i think.we've had this over a week now and drove it all over the place and to date not 1 marea petrol/diesel have we seen.whats it cost btw to chip your car to that bhp...andy...

A lot in here about MPG over the years. Our 1.8 ELX gets 35 local and 40+ on a run so 50+ should be easy with a TD. Try some of the economy driving forums if you are interested, it's quite a challenge and very entertaining. Intersting point about Mareas on the road, in the past year I've noticed they are vanishing fast. Mine got an advisory for brake pipes last Mot I wonder if thats killing them off. I replaced with copper nickel so whatever finally nails my car it wont be that. Ours is Black Silk which is metallic black, it looks smart but it just happened to be the one I got at the auctions.

Sorry lads ,gotta argue with you both down there - powder blue for me , oh and theres 3mareas in my area 2 weekends and another powder blue saloon on a w plate and a 2.0 20v turbo coupe in a petrol colour.
