Hi all, my name’s Steve, I live in Guildford in Surrey and work in the music industry. I’ve currently got 2 Fiat Doblos, a 2003 1.9 JTD SX which is used as a general workhorse for carrying recording equipment etc around the country. My other Doblo is a 2005 1.3 Multijet Active with a wheelchair conversion, which was recently purchased to transport my Uncle, who due to a car accident last year has severe brain damage and is now in a wheelchair. My main car is a 2007 Vauxhall Zafira VXR, which I’m in the process of trading in for a BMW 535d touring. I’m afraid I am a bit of a petrol head and do like my cars, even if they’re all shortly going to be diesel powered lol Cars I’ve previously owned include a Seat Leon Cupra R, Skoda Fabia VRS, and a Land Rover Discovery ES 4.0 V8. I think we’ll forget about the awful Daewoo Matiz I learnt to drive in!! lol I always like to join the owners club for any car I own and am still a member of several other forums, despite not owning the relevant vehicles any more lol I’ve got to say I’m very inpressed with the two Doblo’s so far. Obviously they’re basically an ugly van with windows, so can’t even come close to the VXR for fun behind the wheel. For what they are though, they’re great! I managed 66mpg from the 1.9 JTD on a run up to Newcastle last year, and even around town I get about 54mpg! Despite what I’ve been told about Fiats, they’ve also been very reliable so far. Anyway, that’s enough about me, I’m looking forward to getting involved with this forum. I’ll get some pics of the Doblo’s up in a bit.
