Just found this site and woooow - coool.
I have owned Topolino, 124, 125, 126, 127, 127Sport, 128, 131Sport, Strada, Bravo HGT, 1.6 Stilo, Grande Punto and now have a mk1 Multipla and a schmacher Stilo.
Only excursions in this were a Delta Integrale
, Alfasud Ti, Alfa 145, Alfa 155 Silverstone, AlfaSprint GC and Kamm tail spider. And now the bad news SRi Cavalier - blew that up in 6 months (Company car) and went through 3 Metros and 2 landrovers in the Army.
I have never had any problems with any car that could not be sorted easily and none of them ever brokedown except the SRi. I was told by a wise Fiat god 'never use the choke on older models - 2 dabs on the accellerator will start it in any conditions - then hold the throttlle for a while - auto chokes take them out.
Comment re the Grande Punto - sorry not my scene - hated it after 6 weeks (Active Sport) the suspension is absolutley rubbish - totally un Fiat and as I learned the suspension is the same throughout the range - again totally un Fiat. But as they are in the 'black' now I am not saying another word against it - up to you guys.
A Total Italian car nutter
Cheers
Chris
