Hi I have been reading your forum and I need some help,:worship:
I have a 56 plate grande punto 1.2 without air con.
The heater fan was working, but making some very strange noises like the fan was rubbing up against somthing in the housing for a while. The fan would also stop working every now and again, or just run very slowly.
We used to solve this problem by opening and closing the glove box (vigerously) and the fan would start again as normal. I traced the problem (when the weather got warmer) to the plug on the bottom of the fan motor, and the noise was also traced to this plug, ie when it was at a certain angle it would make this kinda bbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrr noise......
The fan has now stopped working alltogether,
(not on any setting) and I think i need to replace the fan motor, as i have either burnt it out or somthing....
Please could someone tell me:
a. where to buy a fan motor from other than a fiat dealer as I was quoted over £90......
b. how to replace it....
