I am new to this forum but thank god that it exists. I have a 2008 Fiat Bravo 1.6 Jtd Multi-Jet diesel. I love my car! Up until today it has never let me down. It has 125,000 kms and has been regularly serviced by a Fiat main dealer. Its last service was through a very good friend and general mechanic who gave the car a total overhaul including timing belt, filters and brakes.
Before this service i was having brake problems and problems with my air-conditioning. None of this compares to today.
A normal day involves a lot of driving and today was no exception. I covered about 150 kms and then returned to my shop. Some 4 hours later jumped into my car and it woudn't start. It seemed like the battery was dead. I arranged a jump start and this went to plan. A couple of minutes after removing the jump cables, the car just died. I jumped the car again and ran it connected to the other car for 5 minutes and then disconnected the cables. The same thing happened.
When i turn the key, the dials flicker, the radio comes on for its 20 minutes comfort setting, but that is it. When i put a test meter on the terminals of the battery, it shows between 13volts and 12.8volts.
What is this?
