Hi all, this could be abit long but here goes.
im Joe and im 18 (19 in feb) iv had quite a few cars and have sold due to bordum, i went through the usual young lad phase of chavvy cars ie 1.1 106, 106 quicksilver and a 106 rallye. the rallye was a quick car though i ran a 15.1 at santa pod and had some fun with a few cliosports at rockingham, after that i decided id had enough of little chavy cars and bought a mini cooper on an 04 plate.
the coopers now for sale and im after a 1.9 130bhp grande punto. iv allready contacted red dot and will be booking it in for a re-map as soon as i get the car.
i heared about the forum from tym as im from worksop and he used to come for a blast down here when i had the rallye and i must admit we had a few very close runs against each other (on private roads).
but im past that phase now and just want the mapping for when i feel like putting my foot down upto the speed limit.
i am a little obsessed with car cleaning aswell lol.
i know iv had a little rant but i just wanted to get accross the type of person i am, i used to be a member of 106owners for over a year and have now moved on and cant wait to get the punto which i will hopefully keep for sometime, (if the turbo staye in tact lol)
iv read the posts about the turbos letting go and im going to keep mine serviced at very short intervals and not drive like a loon and keep my fingers crossed, also thinking of having a turbo timer fitted to make sure i dont forget to leave the thing running for 20 seconds after stopping to let the turbo wind down.
