hi im new to this site so thought i better say hello to you all, im sam, 23 (this week) i had a fiat seicento sporting YELLOW an loved it got rid  now i got a 04 plate punto. Got a few problems with something on the mot an i dont understand what it means an whether its a major or minor problem so if anyone can help id be very grateful...

Advisory Notice issued Front windscreen has damage to an area less than a 10mm circle within zone 'A' (8.3.1a) Front wheels Your vehicle has only just met the front brake imbalance requirements. It would appear that the braking system requires adjustment or repair. (3.7.A.2e)

:D

hi and welcome :D

first one is an advisory for windscreen repair/replacement. Although it meets MOT requirements, its still providing a weak spot in the windscreen, so best seen to really.

second one braking force on one of the front wheels is greater than the other. Braking systems work in two seperate circuits... front left and rear right are linked, and vice versa. if theres a bit of air trapped in one of the circuits, braking force suffers. Could also be wear on pads or discs (although since its only an advisory, there still at MOT standards. Worst case scenario is brakefluid leaking past one of the piston seals in the master cylinder.

thanks for all the advice, spoke to a garage an they said just to get it looked at. got a new problem now though, my key fob is not workin, fiat said to change the battery but i know its not the battery as the little red light does come on but it fails to open the car so they said it may need reprogramming, anyone know a way to do this without paying fiat a weeks wages lol(y)
