hi fiatists

i jusy bought my son a cinquecento solil for his 17th birthday (shhh it's a secret until 23rd feb )
i'm sure he'll join the forum when he gets the car, i drove it from canterbury to gillingham in kent and it's a very cute little car, only two faults with it:
1, i couldn't overtake anything (sorry but i drive MR2's)
2, when parking it when turning to full left lock it bangs and the steering wheel keeps turning (&banging)
i suspect it's the steering rack gone .
has anyone else had this problem and is it costly to fix?

any advice would be gratefully recieved

Nice Cinq Soleil! I had one in white

They're actually quite nippy up to about 50mph. After that you just put your foot to the floor and wait

As for the turning left and banging - could be a driveshaft CV joint gone bad. Or the wheel is catching on something? Try the Cinq/ Seicento section of the forum for more advice!

I think only the Soleil model was offered in that colour. It is nice!
