hi all from da lancs area,now i need some help

few months ago, my g/f got a 1.4s bravo (p-reg) nice motor,but a few weeks back she noticed a "red pen like indicator" on the dash light up...ever since, it runs like a sack of sludge, drinks fuel like an alchy,wouldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding either.ive checked the haynes book.cant find anything......had it on a diagnostic machine.it came back clear......anyone help me here.please!!! oh and nice to meet ya all.hehehehe

sounds like its on get home mode due to an ECU/sensor error
not really my area im afraid,thogh 1st thing i would do is disconnect the battery for an hour and re connect to reset the ECU and see if it re learns

thanks for that.....i tried it.3 times.over a week.but no joy.....oh.and it revs to about 3 grand sometime..for no reason.....the it idles up and down.its mad.lmao but hey.thanks for taking the time to reply.....

somethings astray for sure.wondering if its on the stepper/idler motor.
bravo/a owners will be more help

i got no idea....its the first fiat ive "had the pleasure" of dealing with..still.least it keeps my g/f outta my car now.lol but yep.it drives fine .the this damn light comes on.and thats it.the "being possesed" thing begins.....once again tho cheers for reply

might be worth checking over all the sensor connections(any you can see)something may be loose giving the intermitant ecu problem

is it worth me changing the ecu all together???? or could this be down to a knackered injector???

Hello and welcome That's the injector light - come and check out the Bravo/a section 'down below', there are a few similar threads that should help you out. First suggestions are a service if it's due and injector cleaner for a tankful of petrol. Then if there's no joy, time to look other issues, depending on how technical you or, or if you want to throw it at a garage

The injector light used to come on on my panda, but a new lambda sensor sorted that
