Have just joined this forum in the hope that I might find some help on the four following problems regarding an Elegenza 53 plate:

1.) Main problem. My drivers side indicator is flashing rapidly (ie it's not working). I have changed it once and after about a week it started to flash rapidly again. It's very frustrating and dangerous...any ideas???
2.) My tailgate door will not open all the time. Well most of the time now. It seems as though it's stuck. Help!!!
3.) I have filled my window wash holder to the maximum yet the rear wiper isn't letting any water out. It's getting to be a problem.
4.) Whenever I stop the engine there is a singing sound coming from under (I think) the car. It usually stops after about 3 minutes or so. Should I be concerned?

All in all, I am enjoying this car and it's great for my family but these problems keep mounting up. I need to sort them before the Spring so we can get out and about.

Will check this forum regularly in the hope that someone can help.

Thanks.

(use search function as many of these faults have been covered in detail before)

:)Hi sounds like the rear wash wipe hose has come off sprayed water over the connections for boot lock and rear light connections.Thats 3 faults in one job. The whistling noise is common underfloor heater (has a burning paffafin type smell goes with the noise.lots of listings on this forum about both faults.look at "central locking failure" by walderwambat about 15 postings down more details there. Good Luck

you will also notice that the whistling noise only comes up if you stop the engine soon after you have started it, without reaching the correct temperature (eg. just going down the local shop).

yes mate, I think the heater issue isnt actually a problme, more a quirk really. I was freaked out ny it when I first got my bus but am used to it now.

Re the indicator bulb, I had the same issue.
Using your longest arm with double jointed elbow and knuckles remove the bulb holder and clean/fine sand paper the contacts then using a small flat head driver gently prise the swan neck shaped contacts on the holder out to make a more secure contact.
Finally insert and only turn the holder until it feels secure and the light operates correctly which may not be fully turned to the max lock position.

Good luck
Pete

ps wait untill your heater starts smoking that will really freak you

Thanks for all the replies so far.
Update on the four problems as follows:
1.) I will try the suggestions ie cleaning the connections ASAP.
2.) If I pull the boot handle slowly, then I can open the boot. It may not be the ideal way of fixing the problem but, hey, it works.
3.) I am not sure what the o/s 'C' pillar is. Let me know, if possible.
4.) The singing is more noticable shortly after starting off. I drop and pick up ironing in the evenings and the noise is definately more audible early on in my rounds.
Again, thanks for the help and I will let you know how I get on with my indicator problem, the biggest problem of all!!!.
