My Wife Vacuumed the interior on her 97 HGT yesterday. She didn't try starting it again until this morning and found that it turns over OK but won't run.
Maybe it's a coincidence, but..
In January I was working away from home. The HGT died whilst she was driving it. She had it recovered to a garage and the Invoice says replaced faulty fuel cut off switch. I later found some cable clippings in (I think) the drivers side footwell. I thought at the time that the switch probably wasn't a genuine fiat replacement if it required making connections.
I figure this is the logical first place to look after she has been beating the **** out of the interior with one of Mr Dysons finest.
I have looked in the Haynes manual and it says inertia switch location early models under drivers seat, later models in left side footwell near door hinges. I had a 10 minute look before going to work, but can't find it in either place, but the manual does not cover HGT's anyway.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Yes Ben, IT IS your Mums car!
