General hg done but still broke arghhh

done hg all done right skim etc.
but still lots of smoke and noticed wot looked like dark oil droplets below exhaust on the driveway.
would o rings or valve guides worn cause this or is it what some 1 said engine kapoot piston rings gone any help would be helpfull as i feel good money is being spent on this wee car .
the smoke started really after it was found that it needed toped up
but after top up the smoke came olso the spark plug threads looked wet with new engine oil .
when head was off piston no4 showed sings of water as the when the head came off the head no4 looked all shiny clean as the rest where carboned dirty..
would bad valve guides cause such symtoms any help would be great ty folks.ps they can crack u up cars lol

to find out if it's piston rings, check compression. can buy a good one off ebay for £12ish
if the valve oil seals are causing smoke it would smoke alot when you start it and less when idle cold
that's all i know really
