hi guys, i don't know if this is right place to put this but, i'm desperate!!! i was looking for a little help, i saw a lancia 2000 16v turbo engine and i was wondering if anybody has done any swap of this kind. I wanted to put the engine in a hf turbo. the mechanical part is easy, but i'm afraid of buying the engine and can't make it work, because of electrical part, like distributor, ecu, etc.. what do i need at all? has anyone done a swap like this? any help helps!
please see the engine here:

Mate, buy an integrale and be done with it.

I would be inclined to keep the 1600cc unit and upgrade it in terms of head gasket, bottom ended lightened and blue printed stronger roads head work, cams etc as you will make great gains with this, too many people just up the boost in turbo cars and then wonder why they experience reduced reliability. In Europe the 1600cc engine is used in Uno Turbos to replace the smaller engines that they have with great success.

Anything can be done given money and imagination, but you have to consider a bigger engine has more weight could upset balance of car, the engine may need rebuilt before fitting, especially all belts including balancer shaft belts so looking at £200 straight away without gaskets etc.

Any pics of the car?

Aaron.
