hey new and need help .......

...... hey new 2 the site i need a lil help got punto gt m reg love its my baby had it bout 3 years now never had problam wiv it till bout year ago ... basicaly it wouldnt start then it would now it don't at all had alternator rewound new battrey havent yet put new starter motor on jst want a few opinions of what it could be if i jump start it its fine turn it off and try 2 start it no hope and now when i conect the battery up smoke starts comming out of the engine.got a chipped ecu in cat pipe been taken out is it worth putting it all back 2 standered again ????i dnt know whats wrong wiv it any advice plsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss xxxxxx thanx xxxxxxxx

hi.normally if it only starts when bumping its more than likly the starter motor.what happens is the inside of the starter motor swells then theres not enough strengh to start it manually thats why it,ll bump but after a while it wont do it any more.as for the smoking it could be something seperate .is all caps and pipes fastened.if its smoking when its not started have you checked the wire that goes to the starter motor make sure its on and tight as its a live wire make sure its not touching anything.let me know.gud luk

i forgot to say first check that wire on the starter motor is connected properly first b4 you buy one.ive come across a problem with one wire before that wasn.t insolated properly.
