helppppp

the idling speed tends to dip below 750rpm most of the time sometimes stalling before i have even moved anywhere!

when cold it should idle at 1k plus rpm then die back when warm. whatever causes that - auto-choke! mention it b4 service

i did!

the car was in for a service last week and the guy never got round to lookin at it telling me i have to take it back this week but havent had time, h said plug it into a computer diagnostic programme n it will sort te problem. jus wondering if there was a quick fix i could do myself!

this happened to me yesterday and i fixed it myself :)
all i did was get an object that will cover the exhaut outlet, like a cd case or similar. while someone is reving the car at approx 1500 - 2000 rpm hold the cd case over the exhaust tightly allowing the pressure to build, air will escape but the pressure builds up.
thats all i did and the car is working a treat again. give it a try, you have nothing else to loose really mate

there are just some people that screw you up and dont give a damn, unfortunately i seem to have found that one!!!

'he never got round to looking at it'! don't take it there again

no luck

i tried the covering of the exhaust outlet with a cd and no luck at all! i even tried disconnectng the battery to see if restetting everything back to factory settings would work!but still no luck. Its really strange though because if i go on the motorwa for a while then come off, the car acts perfectly normal wth no problems what so ever, anybody got any more ideas? its a bravo 1.2 16v btw!

i'll bet that its the lamda sensor, the mech probably never got round to it cos it'll cost you an extra 40+ to plug it up to cpu diagnostics, your problems sound just like mine, although mines 1.6 i'm told the lamda sensor affects 80% of all fiat engines in the same way, plug it in and tell me i'm right, post again when you find out.
