Technical help !!!

help my fiat multipla is giving me nightmares ....... it has a recurring intermittant fault that i cant seem to get diagnosed .... when i am driving along it feels like im losing power and is about to cut out if i drop down a gear and put my foot to the floor it goes like a rocket again it appears to be a fuel problem ....i have changed filters cleanned out fuel tank changed fuel lines ....i am at end of road lol literally i am scared to drive it i have 4 kids under 5 nothing is showing up in diagnostics as its intermittent and lol never happens in the garage or when others are driving it hadnt happened for a month then 6 times in one day .....does anyone else have similar problems or any suggestions of what i can try next i love my wee car and dont want to get rid just want it to be safe

Petrol or diesel?

Had a similar problem on a ducato jtd engine.
Fuel cap wasn't venting properly... Does it ever pull a vacuum when u remove cap to refill.

If its a diesel and has no power until it revs to 2000-2500 revs,then I strongly suspect your egr valve is sticking
