Technical help....tempremental coupe

does anyone experience what i am??

when ever i attempt to start the coupe it takes a few seconds to twig on that i want it to start...

turn the key and it tries to fire, it does fire up but it puts a bit of a downer on it.

could it need a good service? spark plugs replaced maybe? any ideas?

its a 20VT.

a full service is always the best place to start.

check to see if pressing the accelerator pedal when trying to start makes it fire up sooner.

if it is a high milage car it may simply be low compression due to valve deposits and worn piston rings. you cant do much about that.
