General Help problems with multiplia

Hiya

I recently brought myself a 2000yr multiplia 1.9 elx jtd passed mot without many problems but she is not running well on hills and pull away , i read on the internet to try disconnecting the air mass sensor and see how it runs this is what i did but now she is smoking like mad but running alot better.. any advice please not sure on what to try next..or is the smoking a different problem she never smoked before i disconnected the air mass sensor ..

Hi, i had the same problem, and disconnecting the MAF made it run better. When it came round to the mot, it failed due to the mix being too rich (too sooty). i bought a new maf on ebay for about 40 quid i think, and this solved the problem.
