Hi, i bought a T reg 1.2 16v Punto off a lad a few month ago that tried to do alsorts to it. It ran for about a day then konked out and we didnt know what the problem was at all. I took to a mechanic i know and he got it running, but there is still a problem with it. It wont let me go over 3k revs, when i try the injection light comes on. I have been advised that it could be a few things;
ECU or coil pack
single injection unit
Throttle position sensor.
I have replaced a few things on the car to try and narrow the problem down costing me a bomb, new battery, new spark plugs, new HT leads, new petrol pump, had manifold cleaned out and Air sensor thingy cleaned, all wiring checked.
We tried a different coil packs to see if it made a difference, it didnt. Also i have notices that the lambda sensor isnt even plugged in, there is a spark plug in place of it (im guessing because it doesnt have a CAT)!!
Anyway, i really like this car and want to "do it up" but im done in with what the problem could be.
Any ideas??? Please help!
