Hi everyone, I'm considering a 500x to replace my Peugeot RCZ (yep, a bit of a change, but the kids can't fit in the back any more!).

My budget is around £8k and I'm typically looking at 2015 models.

Can anyone advise me on what common issues to look out for?

Hard for me to comment. I've had my 2016 AWD for several years. Other than a need to replace some trim clips on the plastic part over the rear wheel and routine servicing I've not had to do anything to it yet. New tyres soon as the current ones are getting to the end of their lives

So it seems that the majority of faults relate to:

Battery going flat
DAB Signal dropping out
Exterior Temperature Sensor inaccurately reading
Boot Handle falling off
Engine Mounts failing

The first two are problems i've had resolved under warranty on my Tipo - both of them and the exterior temperature sensor (experienced on my Alfa Giulietta & my Sisters Alfa MiTo) seem to be common Fiat Group problems, though the latter two faults seem to be 500x/Jeep Renegade specific.

That all said, our 2020 500x (1.0 FireFly Cross Plus) is now a year old, we've done 9000 miles and save for the rear window washer packing up, it's been trouble-free. Due in for its first service in the next couple of weeks.
