Help installing tape to cd player

Hello, I have just got a Punto active 1.2, I got it second hand. Its 55 Reg but it came with a tape player. I wanted to upgrade to a cd player so I bought an Alba ICS162 MP3 In-Car CD Radio. I connected it all up and the the power is going through as a little red light appers on the fromt of the cd player before I put the facade on. Once I connect the facade nothing seems to work?! The cd player will not even turn on. I thought it may have been the cd player but I tried to install my friends, we had no luck with that one?! I'm not sure that the wires are matching up at the back. Hs anybody had this problem or knowhow to help? Thanks Rob

Hi Rob. Welcome to the Forum. The red and yellow wires should be on bullet connectors on the new units wiring loom. Unplug the red and put it onto the spare yellow that should be dangling with nothing attached.
