Help !FAO Ben B and anyone else who has put alfa handles on!!

Thought id put my alfa handles on today typical it starts raining.Having trouble on the part below as from the modding guide.

There are 2 rods- one that pulls the door opener, one that locks/unlocks the door. Pull off the 2 rods from the handle. You'll need the little white bits on the ends too.

Got the rod off that pulls the door opener but having trouble with the other one a bit harder to get to!!Any advice please!!!

What can I say! It's just a fiddly job! There's no trick to it! What I found that helped is to put a light inside the door cavity, then look through the holes where the handle fits to see what I was doing.

Maybe disconnect the other end of the rod 1st, rather than the handle end, then reconnect it once you've got the whole thing off.

Just keep trying. It took me a few hours to get the 1st one done, not that there's much to do, it's just impossible to get to the bits you need.

Finally got if of but the plastic white thing I have seem to have lost in the cavity!!!!Will I need to find this or do without??Or where do I get some from.

Don't suppose there's one on the alfa handle spare that you can use? My handles arrived with the rods from the Alfa (slightly different I think) but the clips, although they looked different fitted the same. I think you need the clips. best get a torch out and go looking!

Ben been looking at your page specifically the 'Dials for Sale' section.

Forgive me as I'm totally clueless regarding the mechanics of the Motor Vehicle, but is it £25 for the whole Dash surround too, or just the Dial part?

Sitting here blushing in anticipation of your response.

My dials are currently not working, when the Mechanic takes the dash out and fits it back together it works for a couple days then packs in again,he has concluded it is'nt the dials but a power surge toward them that is the problem.

I'm just curious about your price.

Got the handle on eventually!!!Had to do some improvise with the white bit but got it on and it looks good. Just done the drivers side going to build up some encouragement to do passenger side tomorrow. Hopefully no rain!!!

if i remember instead of disconnecting the pull rods i removed the little white C clips that hold the shafts in and left the cam etc in place, seemed easier to me.

Suffer what you talking about, got my second passenger side handle on in a record 2 hours!!Better than my whole day effort yesterday!!
