I’ve been encouraged by the admin to introduce myself

My name is Mick, I’m a retired vehicle technician although I’ve worked on many different types, for the last 26 years I worked on security vehicles. The last time I was working in workshop was 1998, so in time a lot has changed. I’ve got a 2023 Fiat Ducato 2.2 140bhp 9 speed automatic Swift Escape 674 motorhome.

I want to learn as much as possible, to do this I decided to buy a scan tool. I was recommended a Topdon Artidiag 900 lite. To be honest I wish I’d done more research in trying to find a scan tool that my van can use. I understand you get what you pay for but so far it seems because my van as got a secure gateway module I’m limited to what I can do.

If anyone has got any information for the best scan tool for my van please let me know.

I’m looking forward to this forum and hoping to provide some of my knowledge.

Hi Mick, I know your post is over 10 months old but just wondered how you are getting on with your Ducato and hopefully still enjoying it.
I am new to the forum and have a 2.2 Moho with the auto box and loving it.
Only thing I don’t like is the electronic dipstick, who thought that would be a good idea ,I’m old school like you. At least they don’t have a wet belt! Does yours have the adblue?
We’ve had the software update carried out at Adam’s Morey who are well respected and very helpful and worth the journey for piece of mind.
