Hi guys I have a 2007 fiat Grande Punto manual. I have an issue with my car and would appreciate some insight. When the car is not running it will go in every gear but as soon as you start the engine and try putting it in gear it refuses, it has like a whining noise when you press the clutch. If you pump the clutch peddle several times it will engage gears no problems but only for a short time advice please

If it wasn't for the whining noise, I would suggest as pumping helps that it was a external hydraulic issue, unless your model has a Concentric clutch slave cylinder which is inside the gearbox bell housing.
however if noise at the same time as pressing clutch pedal it sounds like a gearbox out job from what you have said.
Unless of course there is no noise at all when it engages gears after pumping the clutch pedal.
Is there any sign of external clutch fluid leak?

Checked for all leaks nothing visible at all was going to replace clutch and both slave cylinder and master cylinder all together but didn't want to waste the money if it's something else

What do you think the noise is?
If it is just because the clutch won't disengage hydraulically great, especially if the clutch slave cylinder is external.
Can you try bleeding it first?
Can you see any fluid leaks?

Hi done bleeding on system no improvement
I put clutch pedal down won't engage pump the clutch several times and it will engage and it will bite but pedal very low bitting point for a sort time
