Hello I decided to join as you seem a cheerful crowd, the food looks good, there's plenty to drink and you're playing my kind of music:)
I hope to be able to 'give' more than 'take' from the forum, my dad was a mechanic and I've inherited his love of tinkering, although my working life so far has been more agricultural. I had been driving taxis part-time since 1989 and eventually took over the business, however I had to give up, for personal reasons (I'll tell you about it sometime) about 3 years ago. I miss it and may well go back to it, still have the cars sitting about, including a Multipla JTD Eleganza (?) and a Citroen Relay, converted to 8-seater, which I'm guessing is made by Fiat, as things like tyre pressure stickers are in Italian?
I bought the Multi (as you guys seem to call them) with 35k miles and it's now something like 135k, hasn't been on the road for 3 years, it needs the rear axle bushes doing, among other things. A very distinctive and versatile car, able to hold lots of luggage/shopping/pets/what-have-you, elderly people in particular liked it as it was easy to get into.
Ok that's enough about me, I will move on and see what everyone else is saying!;)

Yes I stick a battery on now and again and fire her up, did that last week, didn't try to move as the gear cables have gone awful stiff but I might try tomorrow. One front wing is dented, by some over-enthusiastic young lads 'helping' me out of a snow-drift - you can imagine the scenario, it being a taxi - the other I scraped on a telephone pole, again in snow (honest - I do live in rural Aberdeenshire!), the bumper is still cracked from hitting a badger at high speed some years before (which also burst the radiator) and my landlord somehow dented the bonnet with a plough. So it is far from showroom condition.. I see someone on ebay selling panels, they give the paint code, I looked today but can't find mine? iirc it's 'Canary blue'? I think it's spelt 'Canarie'? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261299303448?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
